Apsis is arranging a great conference on email marketing in Stockholm, Email Marketing Evolved 2013: Think Beyond.
And of course, yours truly will be there on a blogger pass — thank you to Robin Sundving, Marketer at Apsis for that!
I’m especially excited about the Apsis event since I’ve been granted an interview with Peter Shankman who will be talking at the conference.
So, who’s this guy?
Redefining The Art of Networking
This is his presentation from the site:
PR Week Magazine has described Peter as “redefining the art of networking”, and Investor’s Business Daily has called him “crazy, but effective”. Peter Shankman is a spectacular example of what happens when you merge the power of pure creativity with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and a dose of adventure, and make it work to your advantage.
An author, entrepreneur, speaker, and worldwide connector, Peter is recognized worldwide for radically new ways of thinking about Social Media, PR, marketing, advertising, and customer service.
Peter is going to talk about why if you want to be relevant to your audience it starts with customer service!

Peter’s been on my radar for a very long time. Around 2001-2002 I used to hang out on an email list named YoungPRPRos and Peter was this bundle of energy, doing cool and geeky stuff in New York — and saying some really wise things on where digital was going already back then.
Since then, I’ve been following (stalking?) his career into becoming the thought leader he is today.
Making The Interview
Interviewing Peter will surely be some great content for for me to publish on Doktor Spinn, but honestly, it’s primary an excuse to connect with him in Stockholm. I’ve never done a video interview here on the blog before, so that will give me a chance to play around with that format as well. And my brother Pontus has promised to handle the camera.
So, what I will be talking with Peter about?
I’m interested in the future of things and I respect his take on how business is evolving.
Does he have anything to say about Swedish tech startup companies? What’s his take on content marketing? And maybe we we’ll have some time to talk about personal branding as well. Please let me know in the comments if there’s something you want us to talk about.
The conference is September 18, 2013 in Stockholm. Sign up here!
