It’s very difficult to mastermind a movement. Impossible even. But sometimes there are dormant feelings within the population waiting to be triggered.
Kalle Lasn, editor of Adbusters, and his colleagues created the hashtag #OccupyWallStreet on July 13. And then they created the beautiful ballerina poster above, where she is standing on the bronze bull on Broadway, near Bowling Green in the heart of the Financial District where I used to live.
It makes me think of two things:
2. For better or for worse, I think this qualifies as the PR campaign of the year. Even Edward Bernays would have been proud over this.
